What is Clinical Nutrition?

In a nutshell, utilising food as medicine. As a Clinical Nutritionist (BHSc), I utilise an evidence-based understanding of nutritional and dietetic principles (a.k.a - how food and nutrients affect the body).

Clinical Nutrition is a complementary medicine modality, meaning it is not meant to replace your current prescribed health regimen but to work alongside. It helps to addresses illness prevention, management of health conditions and supports health and wellbeing to help you live your healthiest life. A large part of Clinical Nutrition is understanding the underlying cause of an issue, not addressing only the symptoms.

Is this for me?

Yes, certainly! No matter our various ebbs and flows of health, I believe we can all reap the benefits of a customised plan. A lot of the everyday symptoms such as bloating, gastrointestinal discomfort, anxiety, fatigue, poor immunity and painful periods can be addressed with specific changes to diet and lifestyle that are unique to your specific biochemical demands.

What to Expect From a Consultation

An initial clinical nutrition consultation will run for 60 min (30 min for follow-ups) and will include an in depth health history review, diet & nutrient analysis, and a personalised treatment plan that works around your lifestyle, health conditions, dietary sensitivities/intolerances and goals.

I'd love to see you for a consultation and work together towards your goals.
